  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In a 32-year-old man, hemispherectomy was carried out from his cerebrum, paresis of the III nerve and superficial corneal opasity in his left eye, optic neuritis in both of his eyes and right homonymous hemianopsia were observed at the 30th day after the opera-tion. These symptoms, except the hemianopsia, almost disappeared at the 60th day after the operation. In the early days, the homonymous hemianopsia, observed in his visual field, had shown a macular sparing, but about 3 years later it has lost the spa-ring and, furthermore, his reserved visual field has moved slightly (2-3.5°) to the hemi-anopic side.
