緑内障に対するBarkan氏周辺虹彩切除術とScheie氏濾過手術

Barkan's Peripheral Iridectomy and Scheie's Filtrizing Operation for Glaucoma

まえがき

　比較的歴史の新しいOtto Barkanの周辺虹彩切除術^1）（以後，Barkan氏手術と略す）とHaroldG．Scheieが1958年Am．J．Ophthに"Retrac-tion of Scleral wonud edges as a filtrizingprocedure for glaucoma"という題名のもとに記載している新しい濾過手術^2）（以後，Scheie氏手術と略す）とを私が積極的に追試しようとした動機は，次の事柄に要約される。

I have reported the new procedures of operation for glaucoma that have not been men-tioned yet in Japan, that is, Barkan's peripheral iridectomy and Scheie's filtrizing ope-ration.

The former is available for cases in which Graefe's iridectomy should be indicated and the latter for cases in which trephining or iridencleisis should be.

Four eases (5 eyes) was operated by Barkan's method and six cases (7 eyes) by Scheie's.

I modified some parts in original methods of both operations.
