Scheie氏手術に対する病理組織学的考察

Histological study on Scheie's Operation for glaucoma

Ⅰ．緒言

　1956年Scheie氏が，緑内障に対して，鞏膜焼灼による濾過手術を創案し，2年後の1958年中Am．J．　Ophth．^1）に，手術方法並に成績を発表以来，本手術は虹彩嵌置術及び円鋸術に代る手術として，米国に於いても広く用いられる様になつた。我国に於いても，1959年百々氏は，ジアテルミーを用いて，Scheie氏手術を行つた数例の記載がある^2）が，本手術の濾過現象を，病理組織学的に検討した研究は，外国にも日本にも，私達の調べた範囲では見当らない。そこで私達は，臨床的に本手術の成績を追述すると同時に，動物実験を行い，源過創を組織学的に検索したので報告する。

Scheie's operation was performed for vari-ous types of glaucoma, 6 cases (8 eyes).

Except 2 cases (2 eyes), the operation was proved to be effective.

The good result of this operation was obt-ained even for a case of absolute glaucoma with diabetic rubeosis and for a case of buph-thalmos.

15 albino rabbits were sacrificed for histo-pathological study of this operation.

The one method was to cauterize the wound with a heated muscle hook and the other wasthat with a diathermy.

The filtrating state of the operation scar was tested by injecting methylenblue into the an-terior chamber of the operated rabbit eyes.
