原発緑内障に対する強膜焼灼併用虹彩周辺切除術（Scheie）の成績について

Results of Peripheral Iridectomy with Scleral Cautery (Scheie) in Primary Glaucoma

I．緒言

　緑内障に対する減圧手術は古くから多くの方法があり，その適応に対しては今だにいろいろと難しい問題が残されている。1958年にScheie^1）は瘻孔形成手術の一方法として，強膜焼灼を併用した虹彩周辺切除術を発表した。その後米国に於いてはこの方法がScheieの術式として多くの術者に親しまれるようになり，わが国でも近年さかんに行なわれる様になつた。

　私共もここ数年間Scheie術式を試みたが，そのうち原発緑内障に対する成績に就いて報告する。

1. The operative procedure of Scheie is valuable for chronic simple glaucoma. Control of the ocular tension under 25mmHg was ob-tained in all cases of chronic simple glau-coma (under 20mmHg : 82.1%). The overall results in eyes with simple and congestive glaucoma were 97.6%.

2. The percentage of success which has been observed over one year after surgery was 86.7% in simple, 60% in chronic conges-tive and 100% in acute congestive glaucoma.

3. Marked increase of C in tonography was obtained in 56% of simple glaucoma and 31.3% of congestive glaucoma after surgery.
