鞏膜切除短縮術による網膜剥離の治療成績（第2報）

Results of treatment of retinal detachment by scleral resection operation (2nd report)

　著者の1人は，鞏膜切除短縮術による網膜剥離治療の，1955年7月までに広大眼科で得た成績について，第9回臨床眼科学会で報告した（臨眼10巻273—276頁）。これは鞏膜全層を切除する術式を主とするものであつたが，その後は主に部分層切除術式を採用しての経験を重ねたので，再びその成績を述べ，併せて，両術式の自験に基く比較を試みることとする。

The authors have reported on the results obtained in the treatment of retinal detachment by means of scleral resection operation at the Hiroshima University Hospital for 25 months from August 1955 to August 1957.

1) The fundamental conditions by which the indications for operation were decided were as follows :

a) The absence of the need for sealing a retinal tear.

b) Failure of tear-closing diathermy.

c) No possibility or very little possibility of reattachment of the retina by means of tear-closing diathermy.
