眼球光学系の非球面性について

On the Aspherical Optical System of the Eye

緒言

　眼球光学系が通常の光学機械のように球面共軸光学系で示されないことは古くから知られていることである。ところでこの非球面光学系が，果たして生体に有利に働いているかといえば，必ずしもそうではなく，ある場合にはかえつて不利に働く場合もあり得るということは，他の生体機構たとえば免疫現象などと全く同様であると考えられる。

　この研究テーマの目的はこのような非球面光学系の結像状態がいわゆるGullstrandの模型眼あるいはLe-Grandの模型眼とどのように異なるかということ，さらに臨床的諸問題，限鏡矯正理論と関連して起こる問題を追求することである。未だ十分な成果はあげるに至つていないが，これまでの経過について述べることとする。

1) Non-uniform distribution of refractive in-dices in the crystalline lens can be expressed as following model function :

Z²/ AAO^*f (n)²/s+X²/BBO^*f (n)²/ t+ Z² /CCO^*f (n)²/u=0, f (n)=Δn/ (n₀-n)…………(1)coefficients in the above equation were calcula-ted by using the experimental values with spe-cial optical system developed by Shinoda, Suzu-ki and Nagata et al. It can be supposed that nonuniform distribution of refractive indices in the crystalline lens might be useful to increase the refractive power and to correct the spheri-cal aberration of the crystalline lens.
