ラットにおける実験的有機燐中毒による眼障害について—眼障害の発症薬量

The Ocular Injurious Level of Organic Phosphates in Rats

緒言

　有機燐系農薬は，農産物増産に多大の貢献をしているが，一方人体に対するその毒性についても問題となり，諸家により臨床的および実験的にその毒性につき多数の報告がなされている。すなわち現在すでに強毒性の有機燐剤は禁止され，低毒性のものがもつばら使用されているが，なお有機燐剤の安全性については種々論議されているところであり，いまだ一定の見解に達していないのが現状である，，前回著者らは^1），ラットにおいて低毒性有機燐系農薬Sumithionの大量投与による全身的中毒所見と著明な角膜障害について報告した。

　今回著者は，その安全最低量を知るために，比較的低濃度のSumithionを長期間にわたり投与し，全身的中毒所見と共に眼障害，特に角膜障害について臨床的所見と併せて組織学的および電顕形態学的に検索し，若干の成績をえたのでここに報告する。

Rats were fed with food contaminated with organic phosphate herbicide (Fenitotin) at 300 and 150ppm dilutions.

Both groups developed ocular and systemic toxic manifestations, such as hyperemia and edema of eyelids, corneal infiltration or erosion, impaired rate of gain in body weight, and de-crease in serum chorinesterase level. It is con-cluded that the concentration of 150ppm is the threshold level for manifestation of toxicity by the organic phosphate herbicide tested.
