This paper presents a technique of intracap-sular cataract extraction in the presence of high vitreous pressure.

This technique is as follows.

1) The corneoscleral section from 9o'clock to 3o'clock is made.

2) Five 8-0 virgin silk stures are preplaced.

3) The upper portion of the lens is quickly brought on the iris above with a cryoprobe and then the lens is slowly deliverd, rotated to one side. After the side portion (3 or 9o'clock) of the lens equator has passed the first preplaced suture, the delivery is stopped temporarily and the stuture is tied.
