緒言

　1眼に緑内障と白内障が同時に存在する場合の手術方法として，下記の3方法が論じられてきた。

（1）まず緑内障手術を施行し，眼圧を調製してから白内障手術を行なう（Lee^1），Guyton^2），Castroviejo^3），Sternberg^4），Kirby^5），Elton^6））。

Senile cataract and chronic simple glaucoma may occasionally coexist. For the management of such cases, this paper presents results ob-tained from the following three different methods of operations.

I : Cataract extraction through an upper lim-bal incision or a corneal incision after the estab-lishment of a filtering bleb.

II : Limbal lip cautery combined with cata-ract extraction.

III : Cyclodialysis and iris inclusion combined with cataract extraction.

The first method was performed on 9 cases with satisfactory results requiring no medica-tions postoperatively in 8 cases. The second method was used in 7 cases.
