  • Look Inside

The clinical course of 21 cases with ocular toxoplasmosis during long-term treatment from 1966 through 1972 is discussed.

1. A long-term medical treatment is necessa-ry in the majority of patients bearing the var-iable symptomatology of ocular toxoplasmosis in mind.

2. A combined use of sulfamide (S.D.D.S.) with antibiotics resulted in better outcomes th-an the latter alone. An intensive treatment is particularly recommended for acute conditions.

3. The systemic medical treatment has to be continued for one to three monthsafter the HA value turned negative.
