緒言

　1951年，Dejean等により記載された眼窩静脈撮影法（Orbital Venography，以下OVGと略す）は，その後眼科および脳神経外科領域で利用され，数多くの報告がある。わが国でも百瀬ら^1），高久ら^2〜4），Ito^5）ら等の報告があり，その臨床的価値が認められつつある。

　われわれは，1969年より眼窩内静脈の解剖学的およびレ線解剖学的検索を行ないつつ，同時にこの検査法を日常臨床に応用してきた。今回は，一側性眼球突出を主訴とする症例のOVG前後像についてまとめたので報告する。

Orbital venography (OVG) was conducted in 31 cases of unilateral exophthahnus during the past 3 years. OVG findings recorded by reverse Waters' projection are discussed in the present paper.

In 11 out of the 31 cases the venogram showed normal findings. The abnormal findings in theremaining 20 cases consisted of : 1) displace-ment and/or deformation of the superior oph-thalmic vein (15 cases), 2) no appearance of the contrast medium in the affected side (1 ca-rotid-cavernous fistula, 2 mucoceles and 1 with unknown etiology), and 3) venous reflux into the tumor (1 orbital meningioma).
