緒言
復旧困難な涙小管閉塞については,涙嚢・鼻涙管の通過障害併発の有無によつて,涙道の全部,あるいは涙小管だけを廃管にして,バイパスをつくる方法しかない。
Thirteen cases of obstructed lacrimal passage, consisting of 10 cases with stenosed lacrimal canaliculi and 3 cases following unsuccessful surgery for dacryocystitis, have been operated on by means of conjunctivodacryocystorhino-stomy (Jones). As a particular procedure, a polyethylene tube was left in place after recon-struction of the lacrimal passage. On the 7thpostsurgical day, the polyethylene tube is re-placed by a Pyrex tube (Jones). The Jones tube is left in situ indefinitely.
During the followup period of 5 to 24 months, a satisfactory spontaneous lacrimal drainage resulted in 12 out of the 13 thus treated cases.
