Developmental Glaucoma in Identical Twins

緒言

　われわれ^1）は，先にDevelopmental glauco—maでは家族歴に緑内障が証明される例が多く，家族歴の問診および同胞の検査が重要であることを述べた。このたび，一卵性双生児の両者にDevelopmental glaucomaがみられた例に遭遇したので報告する。

A pair of identical twin brothers aged 18 bothof whom had bilateral developmental glaucoma was reported.

One of them had been treated with local cor-ticosteroids for these 8 years because of vernal conjunctivitis, by an ophthalmologist. He was admitted to our clinic on April, 4,1971 because of high ocular tension.

High ocular tension, myopic astigmatism, glau-comatous cupping of the optic disc and concen-tric contraction of visual field in both eyes were seen.

The angle was open and showed developmen-tal abnormalities, such as high insertion of the iris, mesodermal remnant and heavy pigmenta-tion.
