緒言

　いわゆる原田病は，1923年原田^1）によりはじめて報告された疾患であり，その報告例はすでに枚挙にいとまがない。

　しかし，その眼圧に関しての詳細な記載は少なく，一般に緑内障の合併は少ないとの見解がとられている^2）3）。

4 cases which had had an attack of acute angle closure glaucoma as an early symptom have been observed in 20 cases of Harada's disease. They showed the shallow anterior chamber due to forward displacement of the lens-iris diaph-ragm.

Topical miotic drops had been used by other doctors under the diagnosis of primary angle closure glaucoma in 2 cases and the prognosis were miserable. 2 cases were managed without topical miotic treatment under the diagnosis of Harada's disease and secondary angle closure glaucoma and got good results.
