小児の字づまり視力と字ひとつ視力の相互の推定

Conversion Formula between Crowded and Single Chart Visual Acuities in Schoolchildren

緒言

　かつて報告^1）したごとく，小児における字づまり視力と字ひとつの視力は，異なる種類の視覚を測定していると考えられる。ところが臨床や学校保健の場での視力測定が，必ずしも統一されていないので，一方から他方を推定する表を作つた。その結果，字ひとつ視力1.0以上の段階と，1.0未満の段階では，対応する字づまり視力値の態様が異なることが判明した。これは視覚成立機序の解明に一つの示唆を与えると思われるので報告する。

The sampling and the methods for the mea-surement of visual acuity in the present study have been described in the foregoing paper (Acta Soc. Ophth. Jap. 75: 1495-1514, 1971). The cro-wded chart visual acuity is not identical with the single chart visual acuity. Based on statis-tical data, the one is predictable from the other.

When the crowded chart visual acuity is alre-ady known and the single chart visual acuity has to be inferred from it, the latter value te-nds to be higher than the former.
