一定地域に多発した両眼視力低下児童に関する研究（予報）

An Obscure Bi-or Unilateral Amblyopia Occurring in SAKU City (Preliminary report)

I．緒言

　長野県佐久地区を中心に最近両眼視力が低下している原因不明の疾患を有する児童群が存在することを知り，われわれはこれら児童に対して44年8月に大がかりな集団検診を行ない，その後得られた結果からその原因の究明，治療その他につとめている。今回は予報として，第1回目の検診で得られた結果をごく簡単に紹介し，どんな眼症状を有するかについて報告する。

An obscure bi- or unilateral organic amblyo-pia was found around Saku city at Nagano prefecture. This paper describes the results obtained from 53 cases with the age distribu-tion of 5 to 15 years old. Most of the patients showed following clinical characteristics :

1) Visual acuity S. C. was from 20/200 to 20/ 40 in the most cases.

2) Concentric narrowing of the visual fieldwas obvious.

3) Strong astigmatism mostly myopic was observed under the use of cycloplegics.

4) Eye movement especially smooth pursuit motion was disturbed.

5) Pupillary movement with prolonged latency time to photic stimulus and anisocoria were noted.
