Use of Aminocyclohexylpenicillin in Ophthalmology

I．緒言

　Aminocyclohexylpenicillin （以下AC-PC）は，米国Wyeth社で研究開発された新しい合成PCの一つである。

　本剤の抗菌スペクトルはAminobenzylpenicillin （以下AB-PC）に類似して，グラム陽性菌ならびにグラム陰性菌に対して作用し，広域性PCに属し，かつ全身投与時の血中濃度および臓器内濃度がAB-PCに比べて高いのが特性である。

Bacteriological and clinical studies were con-ducted over the possible use of Aminocyclohexyl-penicillin (AC-PC) and following findings were obtained.

1) The minimum growth-inhibitory concentra-tions were 25 mcg/ml for Koch-Weeks bacillus, 0.025 to 0.05 mcg/ml for Morax-Axenfeld bacillus, 0.2 to 6.25 mcg/ml for Pneumococcus, 0.78 to 3.13 mcg/ml for C. diphtheriae, 0.39 mcg/ml for Gonococcus, 0.1 to 12.5 mcg/ml forStreptococcus, 0.78 to 25 mcg/ml for Staphylo-coccus and more than 100 mcg/ml for Ps. aeru-ginosa.

2) The sensitivity distribution of AC-PC a gainst 50 strains of Staph.
