New Therapeutic Attempts in Behçet's disease (Report II)

序

　未知の原因で発症し，再発を繰り返して不幸な転帰をもたらすBehçet病の治療法については，Steroid長期使用の生命，眼障害の予後への悪影響を考えるとき，新しい観点に基づいてこの治療を考える必要がある。すなわち，われわれは前回の臨眼において免疫機構への変調がこの病気の発生機転の根底になんらかの形で関与していると考えて，種々の免疫抑制療法（胸腺摘出，脾臓のX線照射，6MP）を試みたが，その観察期間はまだ短いものであつた^1）。今日は前回の症例を1年以上追跡するするとともに，最低5カ月間の観察をした新たな症例を加えて再検討したので報告する。

Fifteen cases with the Behçet's syndrome were followed up for 5 to 15 months following irradiation of the spleen applied in 5 divided dosis of 200R each to be completed within one week. The treatment resulted in decided improve-ment in the ocular as well as in extraocular symptoms in 2 cases, while in 3 cases ocular symptoms only improved following the therapy. In further 5 cases, slight improvement in the systemic findings set in and the ocular symptoms persisted. In the remaining 5 cases, the clinicalcourse was not affected by the therapy.
