Duane's Retraction Syndrome Associated with Marcus Gunn Phenomenon

I．緒言

　Duane症候群は日常比較的しばしばみられるが，外転障害，内転時眼球後退および瞼裂狭小というその特異的な症状は，外直筋の異常神経支配によるものであることが，筋電図学的研究により明らかにされている^1）。

　一方，Marcus Gunn現象は眼瞼下垂がみられるが，開口時には瞼裂が開大し，眼瞼下垂が消失するという症状である。これは眼瞼挙筋と外翼突筋との異常連合運動であることが知られている^2）。

A report is presented of a 9-year-old female whose left eye manifested the Marcus Gunn phenomenon and the retraction syndrome of Duane. Both conditions are presumably conse-quences of paradox innervation to the affected eye.
