向精神剤の大量投与によつて生ずる調節不全麻痺と緑内障症状

Accommodation Paresis and Glaucomatic Manifestation due to Excessive Administration of Tranquilizer (Phenothiazine Derivatives)

I．緒言

　抗ヒスタミン作用を示すPhenothiazine誘導体の研究中，ChlorpromazineがLaboritにより人為冬眠に利用された。これは，体温低下と共に代謝機能および循環機能が抑制され，生体の反応が低下する事を応用したものである。

　現在は，Chlorpromazine系薬剤は，majortranquilizerとしての性質が，その利用の主位を占め，精神科領域において分裂病その他に比較的大量使用され，その治療に新分野を開いている。然しながら，その大量投与により副作用も無視出来なくなり，種々の副作用が成書に記載されている。

A clinical study was conducted over the po-ssible side effects after oral administration of massive doses of phenothiazine derivatives (100 to 400mg per day) to schizophrenic patients.

1. Power of accommodation was reduced in all the 39 cases examined, the age of the pa-tients ranging from 18 to 42 years.

2. Sixty-nine cases were examined as to ocular tension. 22 patients showed ocular ten-sion of over 3.5/5.5gm (Schiötz). The increased ocular tension occurred bilaterally in 13 cases and unilaterally in 9 cases.

3. Tonography was conducted on the 22 cases with raised intraocular pressure.
