Ⅰ．緒言

　Isozyme又はIsoenzyme （異型酵素）と云う言葉は，Markert及びMφllerが1959年頃から用いた。彼等はそれ迄単一と考えられた乳酸脱水素酵素が電気泳動で2〜5種類の分画に分れる所からこの一群の酵素を乳酸脱水素酵素（Lacticacid dehydrogenase以下LDHと略す）のIsozymeと名付けた。

Markert等の定義するIsozymeは，基質特異性は同一で，関与する反応の種類も同じで，全く同一の酵素として分類されるものであるが，その分子の型が異つているために，いろいろの手段で区別出来るような一群の酵素を指している。いろいろの手段とは，現在

Determination of isozymes of lactic dehy-drogenase (LDH) was performed in bovine, rabbit and pig retinas. Isolated retinal tissue was homogenized and centrifuged at 3,600G and the supernatant was then condensed by Sephadex 250G. The condensed supernatant was used as material for agar-electrophoresis.

The composition of indicator solution was as follows :

nitroblue tetrazolium 40mg

phanazine methosulfate 20mg

lactic acid ca 100mg

DPN 20mg

potassium cyanide 2mg

aq. distil.ad 100ml

Agar plate was added to the solution and was preserved at 37°C for 20 minutes.
