ミドリンMによる学校児童近視の集団治療成績（4）およびミドリンM点眼の家兎眼に及ぼす影響について

I．集団治療成績について

1．はじめに

　最近再び激増した近視，なかんずく偽近視に対する点眼療法として，眼底検査用の散瞳薬My—drin-Pが，無批判に使用された事実に注目してその組成に検討を加え，その成分の一つのHcl—Phenylephrinを除外し，主成分たるTropa—säure-N—äthyl-N—（γ—Picolyl）—amidの濃度を0.4％とし，これに，若干の他の成分を加えて，My—drin OMなる仮称を与え^1），これを用いて小学校児童を対象として集団治療を行ない，著明な効果を得た^2）。このMydrin OMは，昭和39年3月，参天製薬から，Mydrin Mなる商品名で発売されたものである。

　Mydrin Mの需要の増大に伴ない，これに対する批判の声も，当然のことながら一部にはある。

A report is presented over the therapeutic effect of Mydrin-M eyedrops on the state of refraction in myopic school-age children after its continuous use for 15 months. The visual acuity improved in 65% of cases studied, remained stationary in 20% and progressed in the remaining 15%. The majority of the last group in which myopia showed further progression had the pretreatment visual acui-ty of less than 0.4. The power of refraction remained stationary or progressed if the pre-treatment value was more than-1.0D and was improved, in general, if the pretreatment was less than -1.0D.
