仮性近視治療の検討

Evaluation of treatment for pseudomyopia

I．緒言

　最近，テレビ，受験勉強等で眼を酷使する為に起こると思われる，眼精疲労並びに視力障害を訴える患者が激増して来た。

　私達は，此等の患者を精査し，その大多数が，所謂「仮性近視」に該当することを知ると共に，少なからざる患者に，角膜の微細溷濁，前房内の露滴或いは沈降物を認めることを知つた。

A striking improvement in visual acuity was brought about in 252 out of 493 cases with pseudomyopia through repeated instilla-tions of 0.017% tropaic acid-N-ethyl-N-ethyl-N-(γ-picolyl)-amide ("Mydrin") and 0.01% dexa-methasone solution. No side effects of note were encountered at this low concentration of the mydriaticcycloplegic agent. The bene-ficial effect was more pronounced in myopic subjects of lower grade : 152 out of 266 sub-jects with myopia of less than-2 diopters showed improvement in visual acuity with unaided eye by an average of 43% from the pretreatment vision of 0.42 to 0.60 after tre-atment.
