Clinical study for the effect of Mydrin M on the visual acuity and refraction in myopic children (Part 2)

I．序

　先に臨床眼科第18巻第4号^1）に詳述したところであるが，最近再び激増した近視は，ほとんどが屈折性近視であり，これは近業の持続，従って毛様体筋の過緊張に密接な関係を持つものである。偽近視は，毛様体筋の緊張亢進はあつても，未だ固定していないのであるから，治療の可能性を有しているわけである。この現状に鑑み，小学生を対象として偽近視の集団治療を行ない，3カ月間の観察結果を得て，これを報告した。

　さて，今回は，前回より5カ月後，点眼を開始してから8カ月後の1964年2月22日に行なつた検査結果を示し，これに検討を加えてみようと思う。

Mydrin M concluding 0.4% tropic acid N-et-hyl-N-γ-picolyl amide was used during the 8 months on the 81 myopic children.

The results were as follows :

1. The visual acuity was ameliorated in 75% of the myopic children.

2. The refraction was corrected in 64% of them.

3. Decrease of the visual acuity and incre-ase of the refraction was found in more than half of the 8 children that did not use the Mydrin M. Therefore, Mydrin M must be used for the long long period.
