球後麻酔の眼圧に及ぼす影響（予報）

Effect of retrobubbar anesthesia upon intraocular pressure (Preliminary Report)

I．まえがき

　白内障手術等の際，麻酔と眼圧を下げる目的のために球後注射を行なつている理であるが，球後注射を行なつて果して眼圧が下がるものかどうかを調査して見た。

The intraocular pressure was determined using a Schiötz's tomometer in 25 cases with various diseases before, immediately after, 5 and 10 minutes after retrobulbar injection of 1.0cc of 2% xylccaine. The pressure was lo-wered after 10 minutes in 13 cases (25%), unchanged in 9, and elevated in 3. The decrea-se in pressure was not marked 5 minutes after the injection, but took 10 minutes in most cases. No significant difference was observed among the diseases which included cataract, glaucoma, strabismus and retinal detachment, except that a tendency to decrease was more obvious among the patients of advanced ages.
