角膜細胞内外液，房水等のCl測定に対するAminco Cotlove Automatic Chloride Titratorの応用について

I．緒言

　角膜の電解質代謝は特に透明機構に関して看過出来ない。角膜上皮，実質，内皮等に関しての電解質移送に関してもDonn,Potts,Modrell，Friedman,Kupfer,Maurice,Harris，吉川，三島，糸井氏等の優れた業績は枚挙に遑がない。

　併し，角膜中電解質の陰イオンは高分子性のnegative chargeに共軛して，Donnan平衡理論上Staticにも興味がある。又加えて最近の膜透過理論は陰イオンのdynamicな動態を報じている。ここで陰イオンの中で生体にとつて主要な役割を演ずるのはClであることは論を待たない。

The aminco-cotlove automiatic chloride ti-trator is a commercial adaptation of a proto-type instrument conceived by Dr. Cotlove and others.

The author employed this apparatus for the rapid and accurate measurement of chloride concentration in extra-and intra-cellular fluids of the cornea.

Since the cornea carries a negative charge, accurate chloride determination is expected to be a clue for the elucidation of corneal elec-trolyte metabolism.
