Cathord Ray Tubeおよびマイクロコンピューターを基盤に本邦初の自動視野計を開発した。視標呈示法,固視確保などに新しい方法をとり入れ,各種ブログラムの活用により,より簡単により精密により量的に計測でき,臨床検査に十分応用できる視野計となった。
An automated perimeter was developed incor-porating cathode ray display and a microcomputer system. Four programs are available which are: standard for screening, screening for hemianopsia, circular and meridian. The standard program con-sists of a series of 14 patterns, each of which con-sists of 3 or 4 dots presented on the cathode ray display screen. The patient is asked to tell how many dots he recognizes at each of the 14 conse-quent steps. Each wrong answer is verified by pre-senting a preprogrammed modified pattern on the screen.
