新抗生物質Spiramycinについて—全身投与並びに眼組織内移行

Studies on the ophthalmic use of Spira mycin (Systemic administration and ocular penetration)

　Spiramycin （Spr．）は1945年フランスにおいてStreptomyces ambofaciensの培養炉液から生成された抗生剤で，Erythromycin, Olea—ndomycin,Carbomycin等とともにMacrolide系に属している。

　本剤による基礎的実験成績並に，眼軟膏としての臨床効果に就ては私共の既に発表したところである。

Bacteriological and clinical experiments concerning ophthalmic use of Spiramycin revealed following results :

1) The minimum growth inhibiting conce-ntrations of Spr. were 0.5~1.0 mcg/cc for K-W bacillus, 1.0-2.5mcg/cc for M-A bacillus, 0.08 ~0.31mcg/cc for pneumococcus, 0.31mcg/cc for Corynebact. diphtheriae, 0.16mcg/cc for gonococcus, 0.63mcg/cc for streptococcus, 1.6 ~3.12mcg/cc for staphylococcus, and 100mcg/ cc for B.pyocyaneus.

2) Maximum serum level was attained 3 hours after oral administration of 2 gm Spr. in a single dose. The level decreased gradu-ally until 24 hours.
