デリトールの奏効せる外転神経麻痺例

Effect of Delitol-Shionogi (Triparanol) upon a case of abducens palsy

　デリトールDelitol〔塩野義〕（一般名Tripar—anol）は，下記の構造を有するところのコレステロール生合成抑制剤で，放射性同位元素C¹⁴でラベルしたコレステロールを用いた実験（Hollan—der W．　et al 1960）によると，血中のみならず組織中のコレステロールを減少せしめる点において，他の脱コレステロール剤と異つているといわれている。

　私は今回Delitolの奏効したと思われる興味ある症例に遭遇したので報告する。

A man, 32 years old, who had suffered from complete paralysis of the right abducens nerve and showed on radiogram a marked cal-cification of arteria carotis interna in caver-nous sinus, received DELITOL one tablet (250 mg) daily for 3 months till complete recovery from the palsy and disappearance of the carotis figure.
