中心性網膜炎に対するKallikrein （Bayer）の効果に就て

　中心性網膜（脈絡膜）炎（増田）は我々日常屡屡遭遇する疾患で，その臨床所見に就ては増田氏に始まり長谷川，北原氏等の詳細な観察があるし又病理組織学的所見に就ては最近生井（昭23），上岡氏（昭24）等の報告がある等従来我国で多くの研究を見る疾患である。

　然し本症治療に就ての研究は誠に寥々たるもので試みに我国現行教科書に就て見ても全身療法としてはヨード剤，サルチル酸剤の内服，カルシウム剤の注射或は灰白軟膏の塗擦，ピロカルビン発汗療法等の記載を見るに止まり，又局所療法としては高張食塩水の結膜下注射，光線保護眼鏡の装用等今尚旧態依然たる記述に接ずる有様である。又近年抗ヒスタミン剤やコーチゾンの効果に就ての記載も散見されるが，私共の経験ではその効果は殆んど疑問である。

Four cases of chorio-retinitis centralis se-rosa in whom Kallikrein (Bayer) was used with apparent benefit are reported. The age-nt is administered intramuscularly, consist-ing of a single dose daily that containd 10 E. H., for periods ranging from 4 to 14 days. The favorable effects of the drug on this di-sease, the authors believe, are most likely due to the action which causes dilatation of the arteries and capillaries in the retina and the choroid.
