オクタミン錠の網膜色素変性症に対する効果

Effect of Octamin (Fujisawa Co.) upon retinitis pigmentosa

　網膜色素変性症の治療には，従来種々の薬剤が用いられてきたが，パパベリンについては未だ，その使用・検討されたことを聞かない。私共はパパベリンを配合したオクタミン錠（藤沢薬品製）を用いて認むべき効果をえたのでここに報告する。

　オクタミン錠は1錠中塩酸パパベリン15mg，チオクト酸アミド4mg，ニコチン酸20mg，ビタミンC10mg，ヘスペリジン5mg，ビタミンB₁モノ硝酸塩1mg，ビタミンB₂0.5mgを含有する糖衣錠である。

One tablet of Octamin contains papaverin 15mg, thioctic aci amide 4mg, nicotinic acid 20mg, ascorbic acid 10mg, hesperidin 5mg, vitamin B₁ mononitrate 1mg and vitamin B₂ 0.5 mg, which had an agreeable promotion of dark adaptation and visual field in 3 patients of retinitis pigmentosa, who received 3 to 6 tablets daily during 2 to 4 months.

This seems due to mainly an improvement of the circulation of central nervous system and retina by papaverin and to metabolic effect of other components in the tablets.
