  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

One tablet of Octamin contains papaverin 15mg, thioctic aci amide 4mg, nicotinic acid 20mg, ascorbic acid 10mg, hesperidin 5mg, vitamin B1 mononitrate 1mg and vitamin B2 0.5 mg, which had an agreeable promotion of dark adaptation and visual field in 3 patients of retinitis pigmentosa, who received 3 to 6 tablets daily during 2 to 4 months.

This seems due to mainly an improvement of the circulation of central nervous system and retina by papaverin and to metabolic effect of other components in the tablets.
