Carbohydrate （Diamox）使用前と使用後の緑内障手術の成績

Evaluation of Carbohydrate therapy before acute glaucoma operation

I．緒言

　急性緑内障の手術において，高眼圧のもとに手術を行つた場合，術中，術後の合併症の為に手術効果を無にすることがある。術前処置として，縮瞳薬その他で減圧効果を得られない時にはしばしば後鞏膜切開などの手術を必要とした。1954年BeckerがDiamoxの眼圧下降作用を発見して以来，緑内障治療に使用されて好結果を得たことが多数報告された。しかし本剤の使用によりもはや緑内障手術は不必要であるということはない。著者は前処置として縮瞳薬，高張葡萄糖液にDi—amoxを併用したときと，Diamox出現以前に縮瞳薬その他で減圧を試みたときの急性緑内障手術成績を比較検討したので報告する。

Thirty four eyes of the acute congestive glaucoma were operated by various methods from 1952 to 1959.

Before the operation carbohydrate (Diamox) was administrated to eleven cases.

Among them eleven cases have decreased the intraocular tension effectively. The operations under low intraouclar tension induced by the administration of Diamox were performed smoothly without complications after the operation. At the time of glaucoma-tous fit the operation might be avoided as far as possible and must be done after the effective administration of Diamox or Neptazane.
