  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

As a continuation of the previous paper, authors aditionally reported four cases of retro-lental fibroplasia in this paper and described the following conclusion.

1. It is pointed out again that this disease has been diagnosed erroneously to be the opthalmia metastatica in Japan.

2. The cause of this disease may be considered dualism. Namely, the young or stunted state of tissues can be given as a predisposition to the disease, while not only anoxia oryephroxia but also various other factors can be thought as a direct stressor. 3. The consideration above mentioned can be supported by the animal experiment, in which authors observed the productive changes on some retinas of such animals as young rats exposed under the low oxygen tension, bufo vulgaris japonicus exposed to the supersonic waves and some tadpoles of bufo vulgaris japonicus collected in Tokushima Prefecture.
