Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of recurrent conjunctival papilloma who was successfully treated by instillation of interfern alpha-2b. Case:A 28-year-old man presented with pedunculated tumor in the lower palpebral conjunctiva. Resected lesion was negative for human papilloma virus and was diagnosed with squamous cell papilloma. A similar lesion recurred after repeated resections. Instillation of interferon alpha-2b was followed by shrinkage of the tumor after one week. The lesion recurred after discontinuation of treatment. There has been no recurrence for 12 months after reinstitution of treatment. Conclusion:Instillation interferon alpha-2b was effective for recurrent conjunctival papilloma in a case negative for human papilloma virus.
