インターフェロンα-2bで加療した角結膜上皮内新生物の2例

Two cases of conjunctiva-corneal intraepithelial neoplasia treated by topical interferon alpha-2b

要約　目的：インターフェロンα-2bの点眼で治療した角結膜上皮内新生物の2症例の報告。症例：片眼の結膜腫瘍として72歳と77歳の男性が紹介され受診した。腫瘍を切除し，再発防止の目的でインターフェロンα-2bを1日4回点眼した。それぞれ3か月と4か月の点眼で再発がなかったが，1例では24か月後，他の1例では2か月後に再発した。再発に対する点眼で，腫瘍の進行速度は抑えられたが，縮小しなかった。結論：角結膜上皮内新生物に対するインターフェロンα-2bの点眼で，腫瘍は抑制されたが縮小効果はなかった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report 2 cases of intraepithelial neoplasm of the cornea and conjunctiva treated by instillation of interferon alpha-2b. Cases：Two males,aged 72 and 77 years respectively,were referred to us for unilateral tumor of bulbar conjunctiva. Excised tumor was diagnosed with conjunctiva-corneal intraepithelial neoplasia. Both cases started instillation of interferon alpha-2b 4 times daily. There was no recurrence after 3 and 4 months of instillation. The tumor recurred after 2 and 24 months respectively necessitating restart of instillation of interferon alpha-2b. The treatment resulted in suppression of further progression but did not induce regression of the tumor. Conclusion：Conjunctiva-corneal intraepithelial neoplasia was suppressed but failed to regress after instillation of interferon alpha-2b in the present 2 cases.
