Abstract. Purpose:To report a case who showed giant conjunctival cyst following acute episode of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Case:An 18-year-old woman was referred to us for blepharoptosis and a cyst in the inner canthus in the right eye. She had developed skin eruptions and keratoconjunctivitis after treatment with three types of medication for common cold 6 years before, leading to diagnosis of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. She had developed a cyst in the inner canthus in the right eye that gradually enlarged in spite of repeated aspirations. Findings:The right eye showed a semilucent elastic tumor in the inner canthus. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a cyst with uniform content. It was 14 mm×8 mm×16 mm in size. The cyst was extirpated with adjunct use of viscoelastic material and trupan blue. It was diagnosed as retention cyst of the conjunctiva. Conclusion:Giant conjunctival cyst in the present case was presumably due to blocked accessory lacrimal glands secondary to Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
