Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of instillation of 0.1% cyclosporin for vernal keratoconjunctivitis(VKC). Cases and Method:This prospective study was made on 27 eyes of 15 patients with VKC. The series comprised 23 male and 4 female eyes. The age ranged from 9 to 45 years, average 20 years. VKC had been present for 2 months to 9 years, average 45 months. VKC forms were seen that the tarsal form was 13 cases and the limbal form was 2 cases. Atopic dermatitis was present in 13 cases, allergic rhinitis in 5 cases, and asthma in 4 cases. Papillock®mini, which contains 0.1% cyclosporine, was instilled 3 times daily. Cases were followed up for 6 months. Results:Visual acuity of 1.0 or over was present in 74% of eyes before treatment, 92% after 3 months, and 76% after 6 months. There was no change in intraocular pressure. Itching decreased after 3 months. Improvement was observed regarding hyperemia and swelling of palpebral conjunctiva, giant papilla, hyperemia of bulbar conjunctiva, and corneal epithelial damage. Conclusion:Instillation of 0.1% cyclosporine was effective for VKC in the present series.
