Abstract. We observed three cases of optic disc hemorrhage. All were females and were aged 14,16 and 22 years respectively. Disc hemorrhage was unilateral in two cases and bilateral in one. All had myopia ranging from-2.5 to-6.25 diopters. The initial symptom was seeing flies or blurring. The hemorrhage appeared as prepapillary, subretinal nasal to the disc,and/or intravitreal. The hemorrhage underwent spontaneous absorption without affecting the visual function. All the eyes with or without hemorrhage had ring-shaped gray conus. The optic disc was small, had indistinct margin, and simulated pseudopapillitis. We assumed that the optic disc hemorrhage developed secondary to traction and rupture of peripapillary choroidal vessels irrigating the optic nerve head during the process of formation of gray conus.
