Meibomitis was present in 73.2% of wearers of standard soft contact lens,in 64.7% of wearers of frequent replacement contact lens, and in 52.1% as a whole. Keratopathy was present in 24.4% of wearers of standard soft contact lens,in 18.7% of wearers of standard hard contact lens, and in 13.1% as a whole. Culture for aerobic organisms was positive in 183 out of 238 specimens, includingStaphylococcus epidermidis58.4%,S. aureus22.0%,and coagulase-negativeStaphylococcus16.8%.
