Abstract. Purpose:To report two cases of traumatic lens luxation. Cases:One case was a 65-year-old male of Down syndrome with a habit of self-mutilation. He showed glaucoma following luxation of the lens into the anterior chamber in the left eye. The other was a 85-year-old female who had suffered injury to the face during falling. She showed lens luxation into the vitreous in both eyes. The first case received intracapsular lens extraction followed by normalization of intraocular pressure. The second case received vitrectomy with intraocular lens implantation. Conclusion:Lens luxation in the present cases appeared to be due to fragile zonules and to blunt injury.
