糖尿病黄斑浮腫に対する内境界膜除去の検討

Removal of internal limiting membrane during vitreous surgery for diabetic macular edema

　硝子体手術を行った糖尿病黄斑浮腫48例66眼の経過を検索した。35眼には内境界膜除去を併用し，31眼には行わなかった。6か月以上の経過観察で，術後最高視力，最終視力，最高視力到達日数のすべての項目につき，内境界膜除去を併用した群としなかった群との間に有意差はなかった。糖尿病黄斑浮腫に対する硝子体手術で，内境界膜除去を併用することが有用でないことを示す結果である。

　We reviewed 66 eyes of 48 patients that received vitreous surgery for diabetic macular edema. The internal limiting membrane was removed in 35 eyes and not in 31 eyes. Cases were followed up for 6months or longer. There were no significant differences between the two groups regarding final visual acuity,postoperative best visual acuity,or duration before reaching the best visual acuity. The findings show that there is no benefit in removing the internal limiting membrane during vitreous surgery for diabetic macular edema.
