要約　目的：眼優位性定量チャートによる検査に白内障が及ぼす影響を報告する。対象と方法：白内障患者56例を対象とし，1眼の矯正視力が1.0以上あるものとした。両眼に白内障手術を行い，術前後に北里大学式眼優位性定量チャートで眼優位性を10段階に評価した。他眼の矯正視力は，A群15例では0.7以上，B群14例では0.5～0.7，C群16眼では0.3～0.5，D群11眼では0.3未満であった。結果：白内障術前後での眼優位性の再現性は，A群100％，B群71％，C群25％，D群0％であった。結論：眼優位性定量チャートによる眼優位性の判定は，1眼の矯正視力が1.0以上のとき，他眼の矯正視力が0.5以上であれば，術前と術後の結果に70％以上の再現性がある。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the influence of cataract on the measurement by ocular dominance chart of Kitasato University. Cases and Method：This study was made on 56 patients with bilateral cataract who had visual acuity of 1.0 or over in one eye. Ocular dominance was measured before after bilateral cataract surgery. Visual acuity in the fellow eye was 0.7 or over in 15 eyes（group A）, between 0.5 and 0.7 in 14 eyes（group B）, between 0.3 and 0.5 in 15 eyes（group C）and less than 0.3 in 11 eyes（group D）. Results：The ocular dominance, expressed in 10 grades, was the same before and after cataract surgery in 100％ of group A, 71％ of group B, 25％ of group C and 0％ in group D. Conclusion：Ocular dominance could be quantitatively evaluated using this chart based on balance technique, having a correlation of 70％ or more, when preoperative visual acuity is better than 0.5.
