硝子体切除術が奏効した若年者における外傷性黄斑円孔の2例

Successful vitrectomy for traumatic macular hole in two children

鈍性外傷による黄斑円孔が12歳と13歳の男児に生じた。両症例に対して内境界膜剝離を併用した硝子体手術を行い，黄斑円孔は閉鎖した。矯正視力はそれぞれ0.08から0.9，0.03から0.4に回復した。受傷から手術までの期間は，それぞれ27日と8日であった。外傷性黄斑円孔に対し内境界膜剝離を併用する硝子体手術が奏効したが，自然治癒の可能性があるので，手術時期についての検討が必要である。

Two boys,aged 12 and 13 years,presented with macular hole secondary to blunt ocular trauma. Closure of macular hole was obtained by vitrectomy with removal of internal limiting membrane. Corrected visual acuity improved from 0.08 to 0.9 in one case,and from 0.03 to 0.4 in the other. Surgery was performed 27 and 8 days respectively after ocular trauma. These cases show the efficacy of vitrectomy with removal of internal limiting membrane for traumatic macular hole in juveniles. The interval between trauma and surgery awaits further evaluation because of occasional spontaneous cure.
