目的：虹彩コロボーマに伴う白内障手術に虹彩整復術を併用し，視機能と患者の満足度を検討する。症例：虹彩コロボーマ白内障の患者2例に対し，白内障手術と虹彩整復術を同時に行った。虹彩整復術は10-0ポリプロピレン糸を用いて虹彩欠損部を眼内で2か所縫合した。結果：視力は改善し，角膜形状や視野に大きな変化はなかった。患者の満足も得られた。結論：コロボーマ白内障に対し，術後の視機能改善と美容上の改善のために白内障手術に虹彩整復術を併用することは有用である。

We performed cataract surgery on 2 eyes with iris coloboma. Following phacoemulsification-aspiration and intraocular lens implantation,the defective iris was sutured using 10-0 polypropylene thread. Visual acuity improved after surgery in both cases. There was no change in visual field or corneal astigmatism. Both patients were satisfied with the cosmetic outcome. There were no complications throughout. The findings show that repair of colobomatous iris may be of value during cataract surgery.
