  • Look Inside

A 62-year-old woman presented with blurring in her right eye since one week before. She had had poor vision in both eyes since childhood. Her corrected visual acuity was 0.01 right and 0.3 left. The right eye showed vitreous hemorrhage and peripapillary subretinal hemorrhage. The left eye showed tilted disc. Posterior vitreous detachment was present in both eyes. Fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography failed to show choroidal neovascularization. Tilted disc was present in the right eye after resolution of hemorrhage. There was no severe anomaly of refraction in either eye. In addition to congenital weakness in the structure and circulation within the tilted disc, the observed hemorrhage may have been caused by posterior vitreous detachment with rupture of superficial capillaries of the optic disc. The present case was similar to intrapapillary hemorrhage with adjacent peripapillary subretinal hemorrhage reported in literature.
