  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We observed 8 unilateral cases of tilted discs syndrome. All the 8 eyes showed neovascular net-work near the foveola along the superior edge ofposterior staphyloma. This area in tilted disc syn-drome seemed to possess congenital structural weakness, resulting in rupture of Bruch's mem-brane and disturbance of choroidal circulation with eventual subretinal neovascularization. Because of distinctive etiological and clinical features, we consider tilted disc syndrome as one of the condi-tions which produce subretinal neovascularization.
