　脳梗塞再発時に降圧薬を使用および新たに追加しなかった29症例について，その背景と再発時の血圧変動を検討した。年齢をマッチさせた初回脳梗塞のみの29症例を対照群とし，高血圧，高脂血症，糖尿病，狭心症の合併について比較したところ，狭心症についてのみ有意差を認めた。再発時の血圧変動では，血圧値は再発前から再発時にかけて有意に上昇し，再発時から再発2週間後にかけて有意に低下した。再発前と再発2週間後の間には有意差はなかった。また，再発時の血圧の上昇度と再発後の血圧の下降度との間に有意な相関が認められた。以上より，新たに降圧薬を使用しなくても再発2週間後には再発前と同程度まで，血圧は自然に降下するものと考えられた。

We investigated changes of the blood pressure in 29 stroke patients before stroke recurrence and after recurrence. Additional antihypertensive drugs were not administered to all patients after stroke recur-rence. Twenty- five lacunar infarct patients and 4 atherothrombotic infarct patients were included in this study.
