A 26 years old female patient was admitted with atactic gait and weakness of upper extremities. Clinical and pathological examinations revealed left acoustic neurilemmoma, cervical spinal meningioma and multiple neurilemmomas on skin. A few cafe-au-lait spots and miliary leucodermia also existed. In her family, mother and three sisters were dia-gnosed as brain tumors and her maternal grand mother died probably from brain tumor. Statistic analysis of reported families with V. Recklinghausen's disease suggested that the disease penetrates more preferably from mother to daughter than other parent-sib combination and number of sons of pa-tients is somewhat lower than that of daughters.
