  • Look Inside

1. An autopsy case of primary leptomeningeal malignant melanoma with giant hairy nevi, 29 year old woman, is reported.

2. Comparing the age at onset between Japanese and foreign cases of primary CNS melanoma with nevi, the distribution of the onset age of foreign case shows two phasic curve and about as half of them belong to less than one year, while the curve of Japanese cases distribute scattery.

In other word, the onset age of Japanese case ex-traordinary delayed the white cases.

We think this tendency seem to be one of pro-minent feature of Japanese brain tumor.

3. There is no difference between CNS primary melanoma with hairy nevi and with non-hairy nevi, in their age at onset and clinical prognosis.
