  • Look Inside

The plexus papilloma is relatively rare tumor com-pared with other intracranial tumors, especially pri-mary extraventricular papilloma is said to be extre-mely rare one, and has been reported only less than 20 cases since Cushing's report.

Authors reported a case of cerebello-primary pontine angle papilloma and reviewed literatures ever reported.

Present case is as following:

A 18-year-old female bad complained of diminish-ing vision and transient double vision for the past 9 months, and staggering gait of 8 months duration. Two months prior to admission to our hospital, she suffered from headache, vomiting and loss of con-sciousness for a while (1-2 min.). These symptoms persisted up to the time of admission.

It seemed to be very curious that no cranial nerve palsy was not revealed except changes of IInd with severe degrees and VIth and VIIIth with slight degree.

Patient died soon after pneumoventriculography because of harmful puncture.

Tumor located at the region of right cerbello-pontine angle extraventricularly.

Histologically, typical plexus papilloma with benign looking.
